Happy Sunday and good morning everyone! I hope that you are doing great and having a lovely weekend and eating lots of yummy plant-based food. I just have to share this green smoothie recipe with y’all, I made it yesterday for brekky before going to the gym and it was an absolute dream. So healthy and so delicious! What’s not to like right?
As I told you before here on the blog I’ve been going through some really tough sh*t this year that basically suck all the energy out of me and I’ve really felt that by eating a clean and balanced plant-based diet full of veggies and fruits has helped me SO MUCH to recover from that and feel happier and more positive. I really do believe that what we we eat as a huge impact on our total health, not just physically but also mentally, and by nurturing our bodies with plant-based whole foods like fresh fruit, berries, veggies, green leaves, roots, healthy fats like avocado/nuts and seeds we also nurture our souls and mind from the inside out. These foods gives us all the energy we need, help us eliminate inflammation, they help us heal both body & mind, plus it contains all the nutrition we need to thrive! How awesome isn’t that?
What’s also awesome is this green smoothie recipe so here it comes!
For one person:
- 5 ripe bananas
- 1 celery chalk
- A handful of frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup frozen spinach
- 1 cup fresh pineapple
- 1 teaspoon barley grass powder from New Zeeland
- About 400-500 ml of cold water
What to do:
Put everything in a big high speed blender by putting the bananas first into the blender (you will need one that fills 1.5 liters at least) and mix!
